How to Grow the Ideal Brows

We LOVE helping people get the brows they want. And for some, that’s a more difficult task than with others. That’s because a lot of women (and men) come to us with brows that have been plucked, tweezed, waxed, and threaded into thin slivers.

Now that thick brows are what people desire the most, it can be a tough transition, especially if the brows have undergone many years of over-working.

So, what’s a person to do? Can your brows even grow back?

The answer is yes… usually… mostly… probably. But it can take some patience, and a few other things to help the process along.

The following is our advice on How to Grow Ideal Brows

Be patient with brows

You’ll need some tried and true patience to grow your brows back, and some willpower for good measure. Brows grow slowly, that’s just a fact of life. Once your brows do begin to re-emerge, you might have the impulse to pluck the wayward ones. Try to refrain! Just let your brows be for a little while, and embrace the process.

Try brow growth serums

There are plenty of brow thickening serums on the market that claim to quicken the pace and with a promise that brows are going to grow back thicker and fuller. Use with caution and give it 6-8 weeks to see results (remember that patience thing we talked about…). If you choose this route, do your research and prepare to invest some money in a product with good reviews.

Look at your lifestyle

Just like the hair on our heads, our brows are affected by the foods we eat. That means that we can eat certain things that can stimulate hair growth, like omega 3 oils and foods that are high in “good” fats and protein. Things like avocados, eggs, nuts and seeds are great for ensuring that our body’s follicles are healthy. Staying hydrated by drinking lots of water and reducing caffeine and alcohol intake also helps our bodies to be in a state where growth and optimal health can happen.

Encourage natural brow growth

Try stimulating the brow follicles by using a brow brush in the morning and at night after you’ve warmed your pores. Give them a massage and exfoliate the area at least once a day, too. This should help rejuvenate the follicles so that they are encouraged to grow new brows.

Be nice to yourself and your brows

If you are frustrated with the condition of your brows and are turning some of that anger inward, remember that there are thousands (and thousands!) of people in your shoes, and that you probably got yourself here in the name of beauty and fashion, and there’s nothing wrong with that! Trends change, no one knew that thick brows would have turned the tides like they did so don’t blame yourself.

See a brow professional

While you wait it out, you might want to consider microblading. The incredible semi-permanent makeup option has advanced to the point where experienced artists can create soft, feathery looking brows that are hardly indistinguishable from real ones. This can take away some of the anguish that you might be feeling as you wait for your brows to grow back at a glacial pace, and you can quickly get the brows you’ve always dreamed of.
